NewsRihanna stays on top of UK singles chartRihanna's 'Umbrella' has stayed at the top of the UK singles chart tonight despite not being released physically until tomorrow (May 28). The track has bettered Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy', which went Number One with just downloads one week before release last year. However, that was before chart rules were changed to allow all online releases to count towards the main countdown. The Top Ten is: 1. Rihanna ft Jay-Z - 'Umbrella' 2. Maroon 5 - 'Makes Me Wonder' 3. Beyonce & Shakira - 'Beautiful Liar' 4. Hellogoodbye - 'Here (In Your Arms)' 5. Gym Class Heroes - 'Cupid's Chokehold' 6. Akon - 'Don't Matter' 7. Snow Patrol - 'Signal Fire' 8. Timbaland/Furtado/Timberlake - 'Give It To Me' 9. Mutya Buena - 'Real Girl' 10. Booty Luv - 'Shine' In the album chart, Maroon 5 made up for just missing out in the singles - their new LP 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long' has knocked Linkin Park's new effort 'Minutes To Midnight' from the summit. Other notable new entries include Sophie Ellis-Bextor at Seven with 'Trip The Light Fantastic', Ozzy Osbourne at Eight with 'Black Rain' and The Cribs at 13 with 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever'. Sharon Osbourne sued Sharon Osbourne is facing a $26,000 lawsuit over a king-size bed. Sharon is being sued for breach of contract, fraud and deceit by California's Beyond Pillows Etc design store who claim she never paid for the custom-made bed delivered to her Hidden Hills mansion earlier this month. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court last Thursday (18.10.07), says Sharon signed an agreement on October 3 to buy the bed, along with customised curtains for her bathroom and kitchen. The suit also claims: "Sharon Osbourne didn't have sufficient funds to cover the payment but accepted delivery and installation and never had any intention of paying." Beyond Pillows Etc interior decorator Cheryl Law alleges Sharon's credit card only covered part of the cost and she hasn't settled the remainder. A representative for Sharon says she gave Law her credit card details when she ordered the items, but Law said the payment had been rejected because it was a UK credit card. The 55-year-old reality TV judge allegedly offered to pay with another credit card, but the following day, Law claimed it had also been rejected. Sharon's representative added that when she checked her bank statements, both transactions had gone through - meaning she had been charged twice for the items. When Sharon noticed the error, she claims she contacted Beyond Pillows Etc who sent her a cheque. |
